چکیده

Gamma-irradiation processes are very important tools for minimizing microbial load in dry food, inhibiting the proliferation of T-lymphocytes blood, and sterilization medical devices. To this end, a composite film dosimeter made radiation-sensitive monomer, 1,10-bis(diphenylamino)-4,6-decadiyne (DPD), embedded poly(vinyl alcohol) was prepared using an automatic applicator system. This polymeric undergoes color change from pale yellow to deep orange upon γ-irradiation due topochemical polymerization DPD monomer. is proportional amount absorbed dose. With increasing doses, gradual disappearance νC≡C Raman band C≡C-C≡C chemical groups observed, new νC=C bands ascribed formation polydiacetylene with enyne structure detected. The irradiated films exhibited two absorption maxima at 470 502 nm as measured by UV-Vis spectrophotometry, intensities these increased doses. Analysis high-resolution flatbed scanner (2400 dpi) showed increase optical density doses up 269.1 kGy. Stability studies revealed that underwent intensity ∼3.1% over 50 days storage. In addition, relative humidities range 0–75.3% had limited impact on dose response films, 4% range. uncertainty (2σ) measurements 4.46%, demonstrating effectiveness radiation monitoring 296.1

Characterization of a radiochromic silicone dosimeter

A radiochromic silicone based dosimeter has been fabricated that allows for threedimensional (3D) dose verification. This paper characterizes the silicone dosimeter and verifies previous results found by other research groups. Using a recipe found to be dose rate independent, we identify the spectra of the dosimeter irradiated to different doses and verify that the response from different dose ...

Computed Tomography Dosimeter Utilizing a Radiochromic Film and an Optical Common-mode Rejection Characterization and calibration of the GafChromic XRCT film

Gafchromic XRCT radiochromic film is a self-developing high sensitivity radiochromic film product which can be used for assessment of delivered radiation doses which could match applications such as computed tomography (CT) dosimetry. The film automatically changes color upon irradiation changing from amber to dark greenish-black depending on the level of exposure. The absorption spectra of Gaf...

Principal Component Analysis of EBT2 Radiochromic Film for Multichannel Film Dosimetry

Radiochromic film with a dye incorporated into the radiation sensitive layer [Gafchromic EBT2, Ashland, Inc.] may be digitized by a color transparency scanner, digitally processed, and calibrated so that a digital image in units of radiation absorbed dose is obtained. A transformation from raw scanner values to dose values was developed based upon a principal component analysis of the optical d...

Reference dosimetry using radiochromic film

The objectives of this study are to identify and quantify factors that influence radiochromic film dose response and to determine whether such films are suitable for reference dosimetry. The influence of several parameters that may introduce systematic dose errors when performing reference dose measurements were investigated. The effect of the film storage temperature was determined by comparin...
